No algorithms, no infinite feeds. Just nearby people and genuine conversations.
Browse nearby posts, events, and meetups happening right now — surfaced by proximity, not popularity.
One-on-one and group chat with text, photos, and voice messages. Always private — never sold, never used for ads, and never used to train AI.
Share what you're up to with nearby friends. Create local meetups and events with a time, place, and cover image. Content is designed to be ephemeral.
Foreground-only tracking for nearby event findings. No background surveillance. Choose who sees what.
Send friend requests, see mutual friends, and meet people through the events and hangouts you join.
Hangout and event chats clear themselves after the plan ends. No permanent footprint. The map feels alive because the data is always fresh.
Sign up, add a photo, and pick a username. Choose what you're into — you can always change it later.
Open the map to see what's happening near you. Browse hangouts and events in your area. Everything is based on proximity — what's close matters most.
Send a friend request, start a chat, or join a local meetup. Kin is designed to get you off your phone and into real-life moments.
Everything you need, nothing you don't.
I built Kin because I kept noticing how many interesting people were physically around me every day — at coffee shops, parks, events — and yet the only way to connect was to awkwardly introduce yourself or hope the algorithm surfaced them someday. Kin is the app I wanted to exist: proximity-first, privacy-respecting, and designed to end in a real conversation rather than another scroll session. Every design decision starts from one question: does this help two real people meet?
Get early access and updates. No spam — we'll only email when it matters.
Download Kin and start meeting the people around you.
